At the Odessa Film Festival will take place gala premiere of the four most topical films of this season: “Amour” by Michael Haneke, «Cesare deve morire» by Taviani brothers, «To Rome with Love» by Woody Allen and the film almanac «7 días en La Habana»

   Cesare deve morire by Taviani brothers has started its festival history with great success in Berlin. It has won the Golden Berlin Bear as the best feature, and also the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. The movie shows inmates at a high-security prison in Rome who prepare for a public performance of Shakespeare’s «Julius Caesar». Personal experienc of the characters overlaps the play’s plot.

   Amour by Michael Haneke is represented in the program of the Cannes Film Festival. It is one of the competition favorites. Haneke is used to be honored at Cannes. Three years ago the Jury headed by Isabelle Hupert awarded Haneke with the Palme d’Or for his film Das Weisse Band. In the new movie Amour Huppert cooperates with her favorite director again playing one of the main roles.

   Anthology about Cuban capital 7 dias en la Habana has gathered 7 film-postcards from directors known world wide, with Laurent Cantet, Gaspar Noe, Julio Médem and Benicio del Toro among them. The film has also engaged Josh Hutcherson, Daniel Brühl, Emir Kusturica and other famous actors.

   Woody Allen has confessed his love to the main European capital. His To Rome with love stars Jesse Eisenberg, Penélope Cruz, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Judy Davis, Ornella Muti and Woody Allen himself.

   From 23 to 29 May in Odessa will host the second festival of contemporary Bulgarian film. Throughout the week, anyone can attend the festival that will take place in Odessian Ukrainian center of Bulgarian culture and enjoy the latest films.

   Anton Kisse: I am very pleased that the festival of contemporary Bulgarian cinema in Odessa — is already established tradition. Association of Bulgarians of Ukraine, the Bulgarian State Agency of Bulgarians abroad and the National Film Center in Bulgaria together with the director Vasily Barkov holds the festival in Odessa for the second year, and in Kiev — the third. Last year we did not expect that the festival will gain in popularity. I am glad that in Odessa Bulgarian cinema has its audience and not only among the Bulgarians. The festival program includes films that speak to the audience at an international language — humor, kindness and love, which is understandable to all. In the nearest plans of the Association is holding of shows of the festival films in Bessarabia and holding of the festival in the Zaporozhye region and Kiev.

   May 23 comedy «Mission London»opens the festival. The showing will begin at 18:00. From 24 to May 29, Odessites will see such films as «Tracks on sand,» «Emergency landing», «One more thing about love,» «Sneakers», «TILT» and «LOVE.NET» — 19:00 . Admission is free.

   May 20 at 14:00 at the recreation center «House of Pavlovs» (Nikolaevskaya Road, 168b), will be opened VI Annual International tournament, «Intellectual wars.» The competition will be attended by teams from 7 countries and 25 cities of the world. Youth will compete for the title of the cleverest in the game «What? Where? When?», «Brain Ring» and «Jeopardy». The tournament is organized by the Jewish youth center «Hillel» with the active support of the Party of Regions faction in the Odessa city council. The purpose of the event is intellectual development and consolidation of Jewish youth.

   According to the deputy Pavel Vugelman, for six years of its existence «Intellectual wars» became the most popular and anticipated project for young people from all over the CIS. «This year for the «Hillel» is special, — says Pavel. — JYC won the city competition of social projects, and the tournament, «Intellectual Wars» was named best in the category of «Conservation of national identity and ethnic identity of national-cultural associations.»

   This time the theme of the event get Odessian shade, and the traditional dress code «black tie» will be replaced to vests, scarves and hats of Ostap Bender.

   May 20. By tradition, the first day teams will compete in the «What? Where? When? «: Leading will ask 25 questions and two additional ones. Within a minute the boys will have to answer every one of them.

   May 21 will be a game «Brain Ring» — a competition not only in knowledge but also in the reaction rate. The winner is the team that most quickly clicks of a button, not preventing false-start, and correctly answer three questions lead.

   May 22 the most well-read will compete for trophies of «Geopardy». It is quite identical to television program, and therefore participates in it only one player from the team.

   If you turn from Sarata to the right, then via 36 km on a country road you will get to this museum, located in the vast steppes in the Odessa region, in Bessarabia.

   The complex of museum includes the National farmsteads XIX — XX centuries, where you can see the unique culture of the Ukrainian, Moldavian, Bulgarian, German, Gagauz, Russian and Jewish peoples. In the old tavern you can taste the national cuisine, local wine in a cool cellar, visit the sheep farm, pheasantries, to go hunting, fishing and much more

   Currently, more than 96 nationalities live in the territory of Bessarabia.

   In the Odessa region are located the beautiful and unique environmental areas: the Danube Biosphere Reserve of international importance, Nizhnednestrovsky national park, national park «Tuzlovskie estuaries,» Tiligul regional landscape park, and others — of local importance.

   In the center of ethnographic tourism «Frumushika — Nova» (Tarutino district) held a roundtable on the theme of «Tourism as a factor of socio — economic development of southern districts of Odessa region.» It was attended by the deputy of the Odessa Regional Council, Anton Kisse, head of department of the organization of tourism Ina Bezhenar, heads of regional administrations: Belgorod-Dniester — Vasily Chernolutsky, Tarutino — Victor Matchin, Tatarbunar — Natalia Kozhuharenko, deputy Ismail — Peter Hadzhikov, Head of sector of nature conservation and bioresources Lyubov Harina (Odessa), director of the firm «Borodino» Vladimir Palariev (Tarutino district), the director of travel agency «Ganezh» Natalia Kosukhina (Odessa), representatives of trade and travel companies, «Shabo» — Yegor Pvashkovsky, «Welkom» Alexander Griscov and representatives of the media of Odessa.

   There were considered features, problems and future plans of development of Tourism and recreational complex of southern districts of Odessa region, prospects of development of rural tourism in the territories and objects of natural reserve fund; were considered popular wine tourism routes.

   Vladimir Trilis acquainted the participants with legal framework of development of rural green tourism in Ukraine. The main problem about which all speakers told, was the issue of roads, which, to put it mildly, leave much to be desired. There are no programs of loan of green tourism; in some areas are problems with water.

   However, against this background that a lot of good, so for example, in Izmail district each year more than 5000 tourists visit historical sites and recreational facilities, and the «Danube Park» (in Kiliya) visit more than 20,000 tourists a year.

   In Tarutino is scheduled to open the German center in 2014. Tourism in the Odessa region is gaining momentum. As noted the director of the museum under the open sky «Bessarabian village Frumushika — Nova» Vladimir Palariev «In 2006 here was the steppe, our initiative group, our father and we, two sons, Michail and Vladimir Palariev began the construction of the first sheepfold, now here there are 4 in which there are more than 5000 breeding stock.

   In 2007 we came up with the idea of creating of local lore museum, which we have realized life. For example, a tavern was built in 40 days. In 2008 was built the Bessarabian village, then a house for hunters for 12 persons, in 2011 — the chapel. »
